I have always loved helping others that’s why I became a teacher! I wanted to help make a big change in this world. Working in public schools was exhausting because I knew I could be doing more. So many kids were falling through the cracks, being passed on to the next grade, and falling further behind. I knew there had to be a better way because the future generation deserves better. I created this business so that I could provide parents with an alternative or extra help through research-based, effective, and engaging strategies so every child has the foundational academic skills they need to be successful in life! Kids shouldn’t fall through the cracks and they don’t have to!
Hi! I'm Shali Flint. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, a certificate in LETRS (the Science of Reading), and an ESL (English as a Second Language) Endorsement. I taught Pre-K through 3rd grade, including four wonderful years as a lead 1st grade teacher.
I'm married to my amazing husband, Dillon, and we have a silver lab named Stella. Our family is growing too — we have a 15-month-old, and we're expecting our second baby in February! We recently moved off-grid, where we're building our own home from the ground up and will be homeschooling our own children right alongside yours. It's given me a whole new appreciation for what I'm asking of you as a parent, and I'm more committed than ever to making these resources as clear and usable as possible.
We love being outdoors as much as we can, whether that's hunting, hiking, four-wheeling, or camping. I also love learning new things, so you can usually find me with a book in hand. My real passion, though, is working with young kids — their imaginations, their playfulness, the way they problem-solve and grow. Watching that spark in their eyes when a new skill finally clicks never gets old.
